Kiss & Drop Procedures

Donner Springs

Kiss & Drop Procedures

Donner Springs Families,

Like many schools in Washoe County School District, Donner Springs will continue to implement the “Kiss & Drop” parent drop off procedures. The goal is simple: to identify ALL visitors on our school campus to keep your children safe. To make this possible, we are asking the following:

Students remain off campus until 9:10 am when supervision will begin by school staff. The first bell will ring at 9:25 am for students to line up in their designated class area. Teachers will pick up students and escort them to class. The tardy bell rings at 9:30 am. Students who arrive after 9:30 am should go to the office to receive a tardy pass.

Students who would like to eat breakfast are welcome in the lunchroom beginning at 9:10. If you are in need of childcare prior to this time, please check in with the Boys & Girls Club staff.

Visitors are asked not to enter classrooms and hallways during school hours. Your child’s teacher will be more than happy to speak with you before or after the instructional day. All visitors must check in with the front office.

Please know that your child’s SAFETY is our top priority. If you need any assistance, all staff will be wearing our bright, yellow vests and would be happy to help. If you have any questions, please call 775-689-2626.

Thank you for your patience and putting your child’s safety first!

Sincerely,

Mari Riggs, Principal
