  Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS)

       The Positive Behavioral Intervention Support system we have in place at Donner Springs Elementary is designed to promote positive academic, social and personal behaviors. We believe our school climate must be positive, safe, caring and consistent. It is our goal to create an environment where all students and staff are safe, respectful and responsible. Everyone at Donner Springs Elementary deserves the right to be treated with dignity and respect, and must be accountable for individual actions and behaviors. The 4 DSES principles are:

• Be Respectful,
• Be Responsible,
• Be Safe, and
• Be a Scholar.

      During the first two weeks of school, teachers establish and teach classroom and school wide behavior expectations to all students. Our Donner Springs Behavior Matrix is presented, posted and discussed school wide. Student’s positive behavior will be reinforced by earning Donner Dollars that can be used to purchase items in our school store.
